Assets are items you use to present content in your interactive experiences.
Collections are items you use to present a set of assets in your experience. Think of collections as assets whose job is to contain other assets.
Adding content to an experience
The Content Library contains a list of media files and folders you can use in your experience.
When you add content into the scene it becomes an asset. When you add multiple content files to a scene, it (optionally) becomes a collection.
You can create assets and collections in different ways:
- drag the content you want to use from the Windows Explorer into the scene – the appropriate asset is created and the content is added to the Content Library
- drag the content you want to use from the Content Library into the scene – the appropriate asset is created
- add an asset or collection to the scene using the Assets Panel or the Collections Panel or the Insert menu by right-clicking on an empty are of the scene and assign content to itby double clicking on the created asset.
For collections, you can also reference a folder instead of multiple files.
